A young Buddhist monk Pramod Bhanta who became Chair person of SAH BHIKHU ASHRAM TRUST after death of Venerable Bhikhu Vimpal from the ancient city of knowledge — Bodh Gaya in Bihar’s Gaya district is providing free ration to the needy across villages in rural village of Bodhgaya.
Bodhgaya: A young Buddhist monk from the ancient city of knowledge — Bodh Gaya in Bihar's Gaya district is providing free ration to the needy across villages in Gaya. The monk, Bhanta Vishal, is distributing packets of food to the poor, spreading the message of humanity.
Pramod Bhanta, along with his fellow monks, has been visiting villages in Bodhgaya areas and providing ration to the poor.
He claimed that under the banner of 'PARINIRVANA TEMPLE SAH BHIKHU ASHRAM TRUST BODHGAYA', rations have been delivered at the doorstep of many poor families.
He said that each packet contains 10 kg rice, 10 kg flour, 3 kg potatoes, 1 kg sugar, two kg pulses, 1 ltr mustard oil and one soap. This packet is also being made available to the needy living on the roads and footpaths.
